Obituary for David Fred Sopotnick

David F. Sopotnick, 68, of Stuart, Florida passed away August 6, 2021. David was born October 10, 1952 in New Smyrna Beach, Florida to Fred and Audrey Sopotnick. He was a graduate of Leesburg High School and raised a family and built a business as an Electrical Contractor in Leesburg. He later moved to Stuart Florida where he was a devoted and loved member of Covenant Fellowship Baptist Church. David spent his later years fishing, playing guitar and helping the church.
David was preceded in death by his father Fred “Jake” Sopotnick; mother Audrey Sopotnick; son Clayton Sopotnick and dog Sprocket. He is survived by his sons Chris (Cathy) of Stuart, FL, and Dan (Sarah Jo) of San Diego, CA; grandchildren: Jack, Luke, Nate, Makena, Logan and Everly, his brother Mike (Debbie) of Leesburg, and his niece and nephew Ashley of Wildwood, and Brad of St. Augustine.
Memorial Services will be held at both his Church and at Byers Funeral Home. Those wishing to attend may do so at Covenant Fellowship Baptist Church, 2880 SE Aster Lane, Stuart, FL, August 20, 2021 at 6:30 PM, or at the Chapel of Beyers Funeral Home in Leesburg, FL on Sunday August 22, 2021 beginning at 2:00 PM.
