Gary Edward Purdum, 69, passed away on Sunday, February 24, 2019 in Tallahassee. He was born October 12, 1949 in Leesburg and was a Presbyterian by faith. He graduated from Leesburg High School. His college years were spent at Florida State University, University of Florida and University of Michigan gaining several master degrees. He taught as a Professor at University of Florida. Gary is survived by his mother, Rosemary P. Purdum of Leesburg and a brother, Paul H. (Maria) Purdum of Leesburg.
