Obituary of William Jessup William “Bill” R. Jessup, 60, of Lady Lake passed away Sunday, February 15, 2015. He was born in Leesburg, FL in 1954. William was a 1972 graduate of Leesburg High School and a 1976 graduate of the University of Florida, his major was in journalism and minor in history. He was an avid Gator fan and was of the Baptist faith. He was active for many years in Leesburg Jaycees, participating in many events in and around Leesburg. He was also a member of the Moose Lodge. William is survived by his daughter, Ashlye (Zack) Beserock, grandson, Brayden of Lady Lake; Sherry Jessup of Leesburg; brother, Ted (Cheryl) Jessup; sisters, Melba (John) Dedmon; Bettye Lee (Leon) Summers all of Leesburg; sister in law, Laura Jessup of Tallahasee, FL;. and many nieces, nephews and other extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret & Earl Jessup and his brother Ben Earl Jessup. A Celebration of Life will be held at Chet Blackmon’s Farm, 7824 CR 48, Yalaha, FL on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at 2:00 PM.
