Larry died two years ago on Labor Day, September 1, 2009 after a brief but brave battle against bladder cancer. I had open heart surgery on his birthday, September 13, 2006 and he faithfully visited me at least once a month for the next 39 months until he was too sick to visit. I last saw him on June 2nd, 2009. He passed on almost exactly 3 months later. He was a great person and the best friend to hundreds who overflowed Holy Trinity Church on Spring Lake Road where we served as acolytes together in our teens although we became fast friends in 1956 when he was about 5 and I was 6. He is loved and sorely missed by the many friends and family he left behind.
