Sherrill L. Lackey, 57, of Leesburg, FL, completed his life Saturday, Sept. 4, 2010 after a brief illness. Sherrill was born in Sylacauga, AL, on Sept. 15, 1952 and moved to Leesburg in 1964. He graduated from Leesburg High School in 1970. Sherrill was employed for many years as a salesman in the construction industry. He was predeceased by his father, Donald Lackey; and is survived by his mother, Jean Darden Hoag; sister, Donna Stanley (Tom); brother, Mark Lackey (Angela); sons, Eric Lackey (Natasha) and Ryan Lackey; daughters, Robyn Lackey and Dena McKenna (Mike); and one grandson, Alexander Lackey. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and wonderful friends. A memorial service will be held at Beyers Funeral Home, Leesburg on Friday, Sept. 17, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend Ken Smith officiating.
